Abstract:

The article teiis about problems of scoliosis. Scoliosis often lea s to the serious stuctural changes of supportmotor apparatus and breath functions abnormalities. A study has been carried out of condition external respiration on the whole in children with scoliotic disease before and after physical rehabilitation. There were examined 51 schoolchildren at the age 7–10 y.o. with scoliosis of I–II degree, living in the circumpolar region. . It has been determined that functional abilities of the system of external respiration children that had scoliosis were preserved by their insignifi cant decrease in girls at the age 7–11 y.o. Pulmonar ventylation function in children with scoliosis is described by a decrease in speed of air fl ow in a bronchial tree.. According to the results of our study should be noted that deformation of the spine and chest at a scoliosis I–II degree leads to a decrease in the functionality of the apparatus of external respiration.
