Abstract:

The article presents an analysis of literary sources describing the means for forming and developing elements of ecological culture of schoolchildren. The analysis showed that the introduction of a natural science orientation into the school curriculum will allow the younger generation to instill love and interest in nature, as well as form the foundation for a responsible attitude towards the natural heritage. Conducting extra-curricular activities and involving students in research activities will help to form systemic environmental knowledge and fulfill educational tasks, and nature museums will assist in bringing teaching methods closer to the methods of scientific knowledge. The analysis revealed that only a systematic approach provides the best result in the formation and development of elements of ecological culture among schoolchildren.
